Focus on St. Joseph's, Burslem

From early August there will be a change to the usual pattern of Masses for the area. Thanks to the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, under Fr. Agnellus Murphy, there is now a regular parish Mass in the Old Rite each Sunday at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph's, Burslem, near Stoke-on-Trent. As this has proved very popular with the 'regulars' of the 3 p.m. Masses, the demand for these Masses is signficantly reduced. There is low Mass each weekday (not Saturday) at 7. 30 a.m. at St. Joseph's as well as a Holy Hour with Benediction each Thursday evening at 7.

It is hoped that a monthly Missa Cantata will be held at Oulton Abbey still at 3 p.m. This will probably be on the third Sunday of the month. Please check to confirm these Masses if travelling. Our thanks to Rev. Dame Benedicta OSB and Fr. Howell, and to Beryl Terry, organist and schola organiser.

Also news of a joyous forthcoming event for altar-server Josephmaria Dulston. He is to be confirmed int he Traditional Rite on July 31 at Northampton Cathedral.
